TELKOMNIKA (Telecommunication Computing Electronics and Control)

TELKOMNIKA (Telecommunication, Computing, Electronics and Control) ISSN: 1693-6930, e-ISSN: 2302-9293 is a peer-reviewed, scientific journal published by Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD). The aim of this journal is to publish high-quality articles that highlight the latest significant developments in the fields of electrical and electronics engineering, as well as computer science. Its scope encompasses applications related to telecommunication, computing, electrical and electronics, instrumentation, and control. This journal holds accreditation from the National Journal Accreditation (ARJUNA) under Indonesia's Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. It has been granted First Grade status, or "Peringkat 1", as per Decree No. 169/E/KPT/2024, dated 1 October 2024. This recognition emphasises the journal's commitment to upholding high academic standards and promoting knowledge advancement within its discipline. The quality and credibility of the articles published in its pages assure researchers and scholars of its integrity. First published in 2003, the journal initially operated as a bimonthly publication and has been releasing six issues per year since 2018.

A submitted paper should be original and not have been presented or published previously. Submission for publication in this journal presumes that the paper is not being considered for publication elsewhere and is not under review by any other publication. To maintain the highest publishing standards, all articles go through a thorough evaluation process while following all ethical guidelines. The TELKOMNIKA Editors strictly reviews the suitability and originality of manuscripts for publication. Our editors maintain research transparency, assess manuscripts for scientific value, ensure that content is free from any manifestations of discrimination, and evaluate information objectively without any conflict of interest. Publication integrity is one of the principle responsibilities we take on.

Authors should submit only papers that have been carefully proofread and polished. Manuscripts are accepted with the understanding that they are an original or extended version of previously published papers in conferences and/or journals, and that, if the work received an official sponsorship, it has been duly released for open publication. Before submitting, please ensure that you prepare your paper using the journal paper template. For the writing format and style, the authors should consult the TELKOMNIKA Journal, which they can download and use as a template for their initial manuscript submission in either DOCX or LATEX format. This will ensure fast processing and publication. We will not process any papers that do not meet the requirements outlined in the author guidelines. If you have any problems with the online submission, please send an email to telkomnika [at] ee.uad.ac.id (subject: Your Name: Problem with Online Submission) and cc: telkomnika [at] uad.ac.id.

Policy on Multiple Submission (Simultaneous Submissions) and Prior Publication

Dear Authors,

Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) are committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and publishing ethics. To ensure transparency, fairness, and responsible dissemination of research, we require all authors to adhere to the following policy regarding multiple submissions and prior publication:

Originality and Prior Publication

  • Manuscripts submitted to TELKOMNIKA journals must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
  • Work that has been previously published in any form—including journal articles, conference proceedings, preprints with DOI, book chapters, or institutional repositories—must be clearly disclosed at the time of submission.
  • Authors must ensure that their manuscript does not substantially overlap with previously published or submitted work unless explicitly justified and approved by the editorial office.

Simultaneous Submissions

  • Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal or conference simultaneously is strictly prohibited.
  • Simultaneous submissions can lead to copyright conflicts, duplication of editorial and peer review efforts, and confusion in citation and indexing systems.
  • UAD reserve the right to reject manuscripts found to be under concurrent review elsewhere, even if discovered post-submission.

Redundant and Duplicate Publication

  • Redundant publication (publishing substantially similar content in multiple venues) undermines the integrity of scholarly communication.
  • Authors must avoid submitting incremental or overlapping versions of the same research without clear differentiation and editorial approval.
  • If a manuscript builds upon prior work (e.g., extended conference papers), authors must:
    • Clearly cite the original source.
    • Provide a detailed explanation of the novel contributions.
    • Submit the prior version as supplementary material for editorial review.

Consequences of Violations

Authors who violate this policy may be subject to the following actions:

  1. Formal Warning: Notification of unethical scholarly conduct.
  2. Written Apology: A formal apology addressed to the editorial board.
  3. Publication Ban: Suspension from submitting to TELKOMNIKA journal for a period of up to one year.
  4. Retraction: If the manuscript has already been published, it may be retracted with public notice.

Repeat or severe violations may result in notification to the authors’ institutions or funding bodies, in accordance with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.

Author Responsibility

Authors are responsible for:

  • Ensuring the integrity and originality of their submissions.
  • Disclosing any prior dissemination of the work.
  • Communicating transparently with editors regarding related submissions or publications.

Your cooperation is essential in maintaining the quality and credibility of our publications. We appreciate your commitment to ethical research and scholarly excellence.

Best regards,
Editor-in-Chief, TELKOMNIKA
